The colored representative from Lauderdale county, seems to be "making character." We read a very novel speech a couple of weeks ago that he made on the court-house question, and now the Jackson correspondent of the Mobile Tribune telegraphs:
Mr. Moore debated for half an hour very eloquently on the per diem question, and then electrified the audience by asking, "Mr. Speaker, what's before the house besides me?"
The "cobweb of the brain" lies heavy and rank on Aaron's head, like the harvest of an uncultivated prairie, and we fear the growth is too dense for many scraps of learning ever to take root there.
