The Rev. James Lynch, a colored preacher of Mississippi, and well known in Baltimore, challenges anyone in the State to discuss the question of suffrage with him before the voters of the State. He remarks: "My color alone should be no objection to an acceptance of this challenge, inasmuch as it will take no part in the task. I will only use my heart, my brains, and my tongue."
