We had a short interview with ex-Lieut. Governor A. K. Davis last week, as he was waiting for a train on his passage from Nashville to Macon. He has been some time in Nashville studying for the ministry, and we must agree that his face well harmonizes with a pious profession. He spoke freely of the industrial, economical and elevating influences needed on the colored people, and expressed the opinion that educated talent in the ministry is one of the most hopeful means of effectiveness.
