The chairman then introduced the "Kansas Cyclone," G. W. Albright, ex-member of the Mississippi Legislature. Mr. Albright is a pronounced brunette, who has had experience in the cottonfields. He gave the club some very interesting and startling information on the financial condition of the country. Among other things he said the public debt of the country had increased forty billions since the war, and that the proportion of wealth in the hands of producers had declined from 80 to 18 per cent. The "Kansas Cyclone" struck the statistic tables and scattered them like shingles from a Kansas roof, but he was entertaining, nevertheless, and his speech was full of broad humor and quaint expression.

When the "Cyclone" subsided, there was no more wind left to blow through the whiskers of the assistant Populists, and the meeting adjourned without the formality of a vote.
