According to the Greenville Times, Gilbert Horton, a prominent colored Republican of Washington county, has recently declared that "niggers cant be trusted, and he is willing to vote to disfranchise them." Something has disagreed with the Hon. Gilbert Horton. Perhaps he was disappointed in the result of the Congressional election in this, the third district.
