Text

Hon. John R. Lynch, ex-Congressman from this state, now a prosperous planter of Natchez has just passed an examination and been admitted to practice law in all of the Courts of the State. Under the law now, there is no committee to let a man through with a pull. The Examination is now in writing and the questions passed upon by the Supreme court of the state. Mr. Lynch shows his determined character in this matter. He applied for examination last year and the court said in rejecting his application that while he answered the questions correctly that his knowledge appeared to be general and not special.

He was not dismayed and gave it out that he would be admitted. He has just received notice that he went through in great shape. Mississippi is justly proud of a man who aids the busy concerns of active life, applies himself and secures the place of honor at a bar which has had its Prentiss and Sharkey and Yerger.
