We clip the following from the Macon Beacon of Friday:
That stupid and ignorant Legislator, the Hon. Isham Stewart, took occasion, after the verdict of the jury in the child poisoning case, to lecture some of his own color in that body, for finding the woman guilty, and he remarked "they were betraying their own race." For thus officiously intermeddling with the course of Justice, His Honor, Judge Orr, administered the blockhead a scathing rebuke, which, if he is intelligent enough to comprehend, will seal his lips in future, so far as meddling with juries is concerned.
