'The People' deliver
message Sunday night
If music moves you, then you
might want to move on over to
Lee Hall next Sunday night for
t'Message from the People." ·
"The People" is an _18
member group composed of
1nostly MSU students, two
Starkville residents, and a
~umbus dweller. Although not
an organized group, all are
gi.fted musicians.
· "The Message" is a musical
program which includes inspirational, jazz, and contemporary
'.)>op" forms of music. Solos,
duets, tis well as group .songs,
be performed. Among
featured singers is Prisilla
Dean, former Miss MSU contestant and a veteran singer in the
Starkville area:.. ·

The musical festival is being
produced by ~he~tris Ervfo,,
sophomore political science major from West Point, and
directed by Ronµie Dottery,
engineering major and avid
music enthusiast from Vicksburg.
Dean is production
choreographer.
"We just wanted to reach the
students," says Ervin, who is
chairman of the Afro-American
Plus Program
Committee.
"Music is the universal language."
The production is slate<i for
Nov. 19 a ·t 8 p.m. in Le.·" '
Hall Auditorium. Tickets may
be purchased in advanc~ ·~or
