"Being convinced that the best interest of the Peoples' ticket will be advanced by my withdrawing as a candidate for the Legislature, and desiring to do all in my power to insure the success of the movement. I herewith withdraw as a candidate."
I announce myself as being from this day to the election, earnestly engaged in working for the success of the "Peoples' ticket." And for the defeat of that put forward by the carpet-baggers.
Respectfully,
JOHN D. WEBSTER.
