A Compliment to Hon. Geo. F. Bowles.
Hon. George F. Bowles, of this city, who was a member from Adams county of the last legislature, has been invited to deliver the commencement address at Alcorn College this year, which invitation he has accepted. Col. Bowles is one of the brightest and ablest colored men in the South, who is thoroughly impressed with the importance of perfectly educating, not only those of his own race, but the young white population of the country, and we are sure his address will not only be interesting, but instructive as well.
