Reverend and Dear Brethren:
In compliance with a resolution adopted by the Executive Board, on the 27th of March, A.D. 1876, in Vicksburg, Miss. - you are hereby notified that the Baptist Consolidated Convention will convene at Delta, Louisiana, on the 25th day of July, A.D. 1876, at 10 o'clock a.m. in Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Pastored by Elder Curtis Pollard. Religious exercises - Rev. J. M. P. Williams of Adams County, Miss., to preach the introductory sermon - Rev. J. Shaw of Vicksburg, Miss., alternate - Rev. R. Pollard of Natchez Miss., to preach the missionary sermon - Rev. A. H. Davis of Hinds the doctrinal sermon - Rev. Curtis Pollard of Delta, Louisiana, alternate - Rev. John Smith of Adams County, Miss., to preach the widow sermon - Rev. G. W. Gayles of Boliver County, Miss., to write the circular letter. The Elders all are requested to bring their old license to the Convention to have them exchanged, for new ones. It is very important that every Church should be represented in the Convention as there will be business of vital importance transacted; as it is hoped that the meeting at Delta will be the grandest, ecclesiastical gathering ever held in the State of Louisiana by christians.
