We understand that the Natchez, Jackson and Columbus Railroad Directory, at a late meeting, passed resolutions of thanks to Hon. Merriman Howard, of Jefferson county, for his marked and indefatigable advocacy of the subscription, and also presented him with a handsome testimonial in the shape of a gold watch and chain. This is a well deserved tribute.
