Republican Convention.
The Republican Convention of the Seventh District assembled in the Senate Chamber on the 20th instant. The meeting was called to order by S. W. Lewis, Chairman of the District Executive Committee. H. S. Smith, of Claiborne, was elected temporary Chairman, and G. E. Matthews, Temporary Secretary.
