Illustration from Jorinda and Joringel of a black cat

This is a watercolor illustration of a black cat on a tree branch. The cat has an angry expression.

Muted watercolor-and-ink illustration of a large cat sitting upright on a thick, gnarled tree branch. The cat faces the viewer with pointed ears, glowing yellow eyes, and a menacing look that exposes small white teeth; its long tail curls beneath the branch. Thin, leafless branches frame the animal against a pale, cloud-streaked sky tinged with gray and reddish brown. A landscape and distant castle appear at the bottom, reinforcing the eerie setting.
