Messrs. J. O. French, of Adams, J. J. Spellman, of Madison, A. Henderson, of Chickasaw, Anson Wood, of Yazoo, J. F. Bolden, of Lowndes, were appointed a committee to draft resolutions appropriate upon the death of C. A. Yancey, of Panola, who died here last night of cancer of the bowels. As he had never taken his seat it will probably be given to James W. Bates, Democrat, who received the next highest number of votes.
