J. P. Campbell College.
The trustees of J. P. Campbell College, the new colored industrial school here, met yesterday and Dr. T. W. Stringer was elected President, W. H. Reynolds, Secretary and E. W. Lampton, Treasurer. The executive board consists of E. R. Carter, President; W. T. Anderson, Secretary, and T. W. Stringer and H. T. Risher.
The faculty was then elected, W. T. Anderson, President and W. H. Reynolds, Dean, the College to open on Feb. 1, 1891.
The total subscriptions to date are $2,436.15, and the first payment on the land outside the city will be made.
