Two prominent and greatly esteemed colored citizen of Mississippi died recently - George F. Bowles, of Natchez, and Smith Robinson, of Jackson. The first named was several times a member of the Legislature. Robinson was a member of the City Council, and the pallbearers at his funeral were his white colleagues on the Council.
