Adam D. Simpson (Madison County)

A Democrat, Simpson was elected in the winter of 1876 to fill the vacancy caused by the death of David Jenkins and took office in January 1877. He had also run for office unsuccessfully in 1875. Simpson appeared on the 1870 and 1880 census in Madison County with wife Lucy and children. He was a farmer. His will was in probate in July 1898.
